Andrew is backing a spring clean and litter-pick from 4-6 March this year called Clean for the Queen in advance of Her Majesty’s 90th birthday.
Andrew said:
“Last year I did some litter-picking after receiving complaints from residents about the mess on our roads and in hedgerows locally. I found it doesn’t take long to fill a bin-bag!”
The nationwide campaign is being run by Adrian Evans who was responsible for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Thames Pageant. Andrew has written to councils locally to encourage them to lead clean ups locally. Andrew commented
“I hope this campaign will evolve into an annual fixture and that it’ll both reflect the pride people have in their neighbourhoods and discourage the anti-social minority who foist their rubbish onto the public.”
