Trowbridge MP Dr Andrew Murrison has hailed the decision by the Planning Inspectorate to reject an appeal by Wain Homes against Wiltshire Council's refusal of its application to build 91 houses at Southview Farm this week as a victory for common sense.
Andrew said;
"We all know there's a need for more homes but riding roughshod over existing residents just isn't right.
"I've visited the site several times and its clear that access during the construction phase would have been a nightmare for my constituents that would have continued from traffic to and from the new houses and the Ashton Park Urban Extension.
"Well done town and county councils, Councillor Daniel Cave and the local community for effectively opposing Wain Homes' misguided proposals.
