Yesterday morning, Andrew attended a meeting in the House of Commons with South West Railway (SWR) and Great Western Railway (GWR) to discuss services to his constituents.
Andrew has been campaigning for resolution to the so-called Tisbury loop for many years and was pleased to hear that there is a prospect of dealing with causes of delays on the Waterloo to Exeter service that he and his constituents use within the foreseeable future.
Andrew said:
“As a regular train user, it was good to hear how the existing train operators envisage the future as they seek, with Network Rail, to improve the customer experience under nationalisation. My constituents will make their own judgement of the success or otherwise of renationalisation in five years’ time.”
