Andrew Murrison has received a letter from National Highways in response to his with useful information about its safety study of the A36 between Warminster and Salisbury.
Andrew's latest enquiry was prompted by concerns expressed to him about the A36/B390 junction at Knook following an incident on 16 August.
In his letter (attached) to Dr Murrison, Duncan Smith of National Highways said that the Road Safety Team is due to report initial findings before the end of the year.
Andrew said;
"I use the A36 all the time and am acutely aware of its blackspots. The promised review is very welcome and I look forward to seeing it together with proposed remedial measures."
The letter highlighted minor works done recently to improve visibility at the Cotley roundabout at Heytesbury at the request of the parish council.
