Andrew has been thanking residents for returning him with an increased majority. Andrew's vote climbed from 27,000 to 33,000 and his percentage of the vote from 53% to 60%.
Speaking after the Prime Minister's address to Monday's meeting of the influential 1922 Committee of Conservative MPs he said:
"I am hugely grateful for the support I have had locally and recommit myself to serving the constituency and it's residents however they voted and among whom I and my family are so very fortunate to live.
"I would also like to thank my hardworking campaign team who have been brilliant."
